Sue E. Meiner, EdD, APN
Following a successful academic career, Sue E. Meiner, EdD,
APN, joined the Pain Institute of Nevada part time in August of 2004.
In January of 2005, she became a full time APN, providing medication
management, hypnotherapy and patient counseling for patients.
Sue E. Meiner holds a doctor of education degree from South Illinois
University in gerontology and a master’s degree in nursing from St.
Louis University. She brings over 40 years experience in health care
delivery, over 20 years experience in teaching, and most recently taught
nurse practitioner students at UNLV. Dr. Meiner has authored or
coauthored eight books on health care subjects as well as dozens of
articles in professional journals.
Prior to moving to Las Vegas, she was involved in a National Institute
of Health research project at Washington University School of Medicine
in St. Louis. She serves on the boards of the Nevada Nurses Association
and the National Conference of Gerontological Nurse Practitioners.
